Brad Knott knows a thing or two about protecting his clients. Prior to the start of his 24 year career in real estate he was a Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Deputy. In both jobs, Brad developed the keen communication skills that help him connect so well with his clients today.

Community Connections

Brad believes that in order to serve his clients best, he must be genuinely connected with area communities. Active in his church, area real estate associations, the Council Bluffs Airport authorty and other civic and service projects, Brad's contributions are both personally satisfying and professionally enriching. Brad was named the Sertoman of the Year for the Council Bluffs Sertoma Club and currently serves as the secretary for the Council Bluffs Airport Authority.

Family Focused

With five children and five grandchidren, Brad cherishes his family and the time they spend together camping, horseback riding and sharing Sunday dinners. When Brad had the opportunity to join Key Real Estate, which was owned by his wife Janice's parents, Bob and Norma Edwards, he knew that working in a family-owned and oriented business was a natural fit for him. After nearly two decades of working with Bob and Norma Edwards, Brad, Janice and her brother John Edwards purchased the business. Their goal remains to follow the strong family values that made the company successful for so many years. Brad believes this attitude extends beyond the owners to all of the agents and staff at Key.

Trustworthy Expert

Experience isn't the only way Brad Knott has become a real estate leader in Southwest Iowa. Continuing education and memberships in the Southwest Iowa Assocaition of Realtors, the Iowa Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors keep him informed of local, state and national trends, challenges and opportunities.

Currently serving on the board of directors for the Southwest Iowa Association of Realtors, Brad has long been a leader in the organization serving in many offices, including president. Brad is a Certified Residential Broker (CRB), a designation given to individuals who complete a rigorous series of courses on real estate management. He is also a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the industry. Brad has so much experience and expertise to share that he teaches continuing education courses to sales associates and brokers across the state.
